February 24, 2008.  The third game of the Winter was the charm. The Old Nicks handily beat a slightly understrength Masterbooters 3 - 0.

Rich Black did most of the damage with two goals. Don Makande sealed the deal with a patented knuckle ball blast.

Next match is a 6:30 pm matinee engagement against the fearsome Pierre's. Head to Delta Park's Strasser Field for this one.

A Thin Layer Of Rust

February 10, 2008.  For the Winter Season opener, the Old Nicks put on a very competitive display against the always-tough Gresham East team. If it weren't for a scrambled-in early goal by Gresham, the game would have ended a well deserved nil-nil tie.

The Clackamas HS turf field played enough like grass for the Nicks to have some nice passing combinations. That's a good sign since we're back here three more times in the next month!
