Mrs. Kate Wooden?
This photograph was taken in Richmond, Virginia at C. WEBSTER & CO. photographer, probably in the 1890's. There are some inscriptions written on the back which prove very confusing. In heavy writing it says Mrs. Kate Wooden, then in very faded pencil writing I make out the following in a different handwriting than the first, "Miss Sarah Taylor Aunt Margaret's friend lived on Howard's Grove", very confusing indeed.
Minnie Hamilton
To the person who wrote me about Minnie about a month ago, I tried to email you about Minnie but the e-mails came back to me everytime. I found earlier this year that the Minnie in the photo died in the early 1900's so she could not be the same Minnie as you mentioned to me. Also the Minnie in the photo would have been born before your Minnie Hamilton. Thank you for writing. Minnie's photo was taken at the CHICAGO FINE ART GALLERY in Richmond.
Nettie M. Caldwell
I do not know where Nettie's photo was taken, but it was signed December 25, 1894. She was from Waynesboro, Augusta County, Virginia. I have been doing some research on Nettie and found that she was born June 4, 1867 and her parents were, William M. Caldwell and Cumora F. Withrow. Are you related to Nettie?
