The waterproof pen holder, open. The center piece is 5.25" of so-called 3/4" PVC sprinkler pipe, which is actually 0.9" inside diameter and 1.05" outside diameter. On the right side is a glued-on end cap, on the left side is a glued-on adapter to a male hose thread, and on the far left is a cap such as is used on the end of soaker hoses. This one is brass, they also come in plastic. Materials are about $5 at any good hardware store.
