He's the dog for me!
He's big and he's red
And he eats alot!

FALL by Mrs. Tonnessen
Red, yellow, orange, brown
Autumn leaves are falling down
The days get short,
The air gets cool,
And all the kids are back in school!
THE PROBLEM by Mrs. Levey
Franklin is a turtle.
He lives inside a shell.
The darkness makes him frightened
So he can't sleep too well.
He asks his friends to help him.
They say "We get scared too!"
So brave Franklin crawled
Inside his shell
And said "Goodnight" to you!
P.S. The nightlight helped!
BATS
Flying, flying through the sky,
Bats are neat, I'll tell you why.
Flying foxes are the tallest.
Bumblebee bats are the smallest.
Bats are yellow, red and brown
Bats sleep hanging upside down.
Some eat bugs and some eat fruit.
Some look mean and some look cute.
Flying, flying in the sky.
Bats are neat, now you know why!

The rain clouds care for little corn plants
As a mother cares for her baby.

Children put out wooden shoes
Then wake up to happy news!
Dutch kids get goodies galore

Goodbye old year, hello new!
It's a brand new start,
What will I do?
Maybe I'll learn to ride a bike
Or rollerblade or take a hike.
I'll have twelve new months --
That's a lot of time!
This New Year will turn out fine!

THE MITTEN

Rabbit came, he too could fit in.
Prickly hedgehog needed space,
Owl came by and found his place.

Five little frogs sitting by a lake.
The first was scared away by a snake.

What do caterpillars do?
Nothing much but chew and chew.

LADYBUG
The ladybug's a beetle.
It's shaped like a pea.
Its color is a bright red
With lots of spots to see.
Although the name is ladybug
Some ladybugs are men
So why don't we say "gentlemen bug"
Every now and then?
