Most of my family was born and raised in Smyth County Va. My Dad's Family was raised in Tazewell, Rich Valley and Marion Va. My grandfather, grandmother and great grandmother Patrick are buried in Riverside Cemetery in Rich Valley next to the Methodist Church and the Rich Valley fairgrounds. Tracing my families roots beyond my grandfather has proven difficult (I have been told he came over from Ireland in mid 1800's). My grandmother's Bible shows my great grandfather's name to be Robert Alexander Patrick however other records seem to indicate he went by Alex. This presents a problem due to the fact that there was an Isaac Alexander Patrick who had a son also named Marion who was born a year before my grandfather. I have ran across many family tree listings that have combined the families. The one on Ancestry.com is one example of this happening. Right now this site consists mostly of pictures and happenings of my immediate family. However my goal is to make it a complete Patrick web-site. Welcome to my site, I am now in my twelfth year working on the family tree. I recently added a link to Robert Scott Patrick's website, he has good information on the Texas Patrick line. I have currently working on updating the online family tree and hope to have it published soon. I am still looking the DNA testing that is being done for genealogy research right now. If I do I will post the results here.
