The Essex Center United Methodist Church is located in scenic Essex Center, Vermont with a panoramic vista of Mount Mansfield in the West.  We are approximately 12 miles from Burlington, Vermont's largest city, on Route 15 (Center Road).  The most famous landmark in Essex Center is "Frank's Motorcycle Shop" which is directly across the street from us.  Our white, frame "meeting house" was built in 1839 and has been lovingly maintained in vintage condition.

Our congregation averages about 105 souls in worship on Sunday mornings.  They come in all ages, shapes and sizes.  The congregation is alive with the energy of children and has an excellent Sunday School and Junior Choir program.  Our worship is easy-going and friendly.  Our people are energetic and welcoming.  The are committed to Christian service and discipleship.

We have an active United Methodist Women's unit, a Men's Fellowship, a United Methodist Youth Fellowship, Adult Choir, and various adult study groups.  Like many Vermont Churches, we serve an excellent Chicken Supper each Fall (in honor of foliage season)!
