Written Summary:

This is the second in a two tape series by Marco Lala that deals with an in depth look at kicking. On this tape, Mr. Lala takes us on a very thorough look at thirteen kicks which are well known to most martial artists. These kicks are more advanced than the kicks on the first video in this series. Much time is spent by Mr. Lala on the training methods to make these kicks effective, and a great deal of information is contained on this video. This video follows the the same format as the first video as it walks the viewer through each kick, the traditional training method for each kick, and up and down stepping drill for each kick, a free style sparring session featuring each kick, and a heavy bag workout for each kick. Many of the kicks on this video are jumping kicks or spinning kicks, which are generally not regarded as useful in street situations. However, the point Mr. Lala makes about these kicks is that by training these more difficult kicks, the more street effective simpler kicks are made more effective also. In my opinion, the training presented on this tape is very rigorous and would be an good regimen for attaining and maintaining a high level of fitness.

This video is recommended to anyone interested in an in depth study of the more advanced kicks common to many martial arts. It's an good tape for the novice, and the experienced martial artist will find it a great review of the fundamentals for crescent, jumping, and spinning kicks.
