United Fighting Systems goal is to be an association in which all martial artists, regardless of style, can belong, be recognized, and have the opportunity for rank recognition and advancement.

The martial arts are constantly evolving. And today, more than ever, it's necessary to know and use techniques from numerous martial arts styles. Take for example the Brazilian Jujitsu explosion. There are few organizations that will recognize your present style or rank, and support you in learning, advancing in, or teaching, techniques from styles other than their own.

United Fighting Systems wants to assist the open minded and independent thinking martial arts instructor, and artist, by being an association that recognizes them, their time in the martial arts, their rank, and accomplishments, no matter what styles, or techniques, they practice and participate in.

If you feel under ranked for the time you've put in, or you're looking for an association that allows no restrictions in what you want to learn or teach, UFS is the answer. Let us provide you with the rank, recognition, freedom, and independence, you deserve.

1. Outside of your dojo, are there other schools and organizations that would recognize your rank?

2. What happens if someday you or your instructor moves, or your school closes?

3. If that were to happen, what would you do, and how would you continue your training? Who would you continue your training with? Would you be willing to start all over again as a white belt? What if there was a way you could continue your training, retain your rank, and still be able to pursue rank advancement opportunities, would you want to know more about that?

4. Are you an independent school/instructor that's thought about these things, and is looking for an international organization to protect yourself and your students from these possibilities?

5. As a student, do you know your instructors plans for you should these things happen?

6. Does your current association frown upon you learning, practicing, participating in, or teaching, techniques from styles other than their own?

1. Fill out our Application and provide the required information. Or you may submit a letter of introduction, a resume that includes your experience, rank, time, and accomplishments in the martial arts, along with copies of your rank certificates.

2. Enclose a $50.00 money order or cashiers check made payable to:

3. You will receive in 2-4 weeks, a welcome letter, FULL COLOR rank certificate and membership card, verifying your membership and rank from United Fighting Systems. You'll also get access to the "Members Area" of our website, which has over 50 articles related to the martial arts. Annual renewal for our "Individual Membership" is only $10 and includes one new rank certificate, for those that've obtained new rank since the previous year. In addition to our Individual Membership, School Charters and Style Certifications are also available. This allows your school or style to be recognized by an international organization. Plus you'll have the freedom and independence to teach your students your way. Charters are available only to board approved instructors/schools/styles. This certification recognizes your school or style, and allows you to receive other services from UFS at a discount, such as rank certificates ($5 each in quantities of 2 or more), and Student Memberships ($10 each), for your own students. The initial fee is $100, annual renewal is $25.

The School Charter and Style Certification require the following:

1. A letter of introduction.
2. A resume that includes a complete history of the instructor (training, accomplishments, testings)
3. Instructor rank certificates copies
4. Teaching syllabus with rank requirements
5. For "Style" certifications: a 1-2 hour VHS Video (NTSC format) or DVD demonstrating technical ability


The UFS "board" reserves the right to reject any applicants that don't meet our standards. If you're application is not accepted, all application fees will be returned to you. All application materials, whether you are accepted or not, become the property of UFS and will not be returned.
