Written Summary:
This video is the fourth
in this series on hand to hand combat taught by Mr. Leonard Holifield. My comments
in the previous three reviews on the other tapes in this series apply equally to
this volume as well. Mr. Holifield is a terrific martial artist, the material is
hard core and potentially lethal, and the instruction is very good as well. The format
is the same as on the previous two videos in this series. I see no reason to repeat
myself ad infinitum in each review when the reviews on all of these videos will be
essentially the same. Instead, I would like to inform the readers of the type of
material on this particular volume.
We are shown 16 techniques on this video.
Each one is shown with good explanation by Mr. Holifield and each is shown again
at different speeds and viewing angles. As I have said before, there is not the usual
Panther overkill on this video series since each technique is shown between 6 and
8 times. ( Some Panther products I have seen go up to 13 repetitions per technique
). We have 4 techniques against a punching attack, 4 techniques for knife defense,
2 techniques versus a bayonet, 3 different chokes, and 3 handgun defenses. All are
relatively simple to learn from a video and all would be highly effective. As I have
said before, many of the techniques are lethal when taken to the ultimate end so
make sure one knows when and when not to apply these techniques in a civilian situation.
The
grade on this video is a 94 which carries a recommendation as a purchase. I believe
anyone with a serious interest in hard core martial arts should have a look at this
series. There is some very effective material on these videos and Mr. Holifield is
a very good video instructor. Please see our other reviews of the other volumes in
this series since those comments apply equally to this volume as well.
