Written Summary:
This is
the second in a three tape series on Training Drills for Martial Artists by Matt
Furey. Overall this three tape video series has some excellent drills that an Instructor
can add to his classes. Of the tapes offered I felt that this was the weakest of
the three. The material presented in this video is for the most part basic with some
of the drills already familiar to some viewers. As stated in the first review this
series could of easily been on two tapes. I would of skipped this tape and added
the drills in it to tapes one and two. This tape, like the first, deals with solo
drills.
Some of the drills included in this video are:
- A pushing
exercise to help a person defend against throws.
- Throwing drills.
- Lunge
jumping to strengthen the legs
- Drills to develop balance and coordination
-
Footwork drills
- several strengthening drills
- sit out drill and the granby
roll (this was a good one for class)
- basic forward roll
Overall a good
tape with some nice drills in it. Should of just been added to the other two tapes
in the series rather than a separate tape.
