I'm at rest so please don't cry,
It will be easier as time goes by.

I've done my best to live a full life
But I must admit there were times of strife

As my body lies here it is only a shell
God has called me home so there is little to tell

My life has been happy and I was content
But for things I have done wrong, I must repent.

You know and I know that times are trying on earth
So you shouldn't cry at death but at birth.

Now I have no worries, no pain, and no fears
And I trust God will dry all your tears.
 
I love you all and this is what I want you to do,
Put God in your lives and let him take care of you

So look at me as you go by,
As you are now, so once was I.

But as I am, So shall you be
So prepare yourselves now
For some day soon you will follow me.
