CAUTION:

The traffic light audio monitor comes with a Sounder that cycles every couple of seconds. It can produce sound in excess of 90 db at one foot. Depending on the exact location the audio monitor is mounted in, it will be necessary to adjust the level of sound from the sounder to avoid levels in excess of 80 db at the level of an adult or child’s head. If there is any question that the level might be too loud for a sensitive adult or child, there is an adjustment pot located inside the yellow light that can be used to decrease the sounder output level. In case someone disagrees with the setting chosen, Sears (Hardware) and perhaps Radio Shack makes available a sound level meter for less than $40 that can be used to check the level of the sounder output exactly.
