Abstract An integrated CAE/CAD/CAM system incorporates all the components needed for product development. It produces a comprehensive 3-D solid model of all parts, including electronic components and printed circuit boards. Software and the solid-model database can be used for several requirements from part analysis and full design documentation to assembly, verification, packaging, and design of production molds. Product design integration facilitates the use of a single 3-D model database for customer acceptance, design and stress analysis, rapid prototyping, and mold design and development. XX
