Abstract MoldFusion builds molds from the inside out layer on layer to form internal features and geometries not available using conventional metalworking methods. Offered by a technology partnership between D-M-E of Madison Heights, Michigan, and Extrude Hone, Irwin, Pennsylvania, MoldFusion builds shapes using adapted stereolithography techniques by fusing powder tool steel in layers, creating near net shape 3-D structures from 3-D CAD models.
