Abstract 3-D Systems Inc has developed the QuickCast casting process system for constructing resin patterns directly on a Stereolithography Apparatus. The system eliminates costly and time-consuming tooling when generating resin wax patterns. The resin patterns that are created makes use of a quasi-hollow offset triangular pattern that lessens thermal expansion stresses, provides resin drainage and ends in subsequent pattern burn out without shell breakage.
