Abstract Stratasys, Inc. has helped Ford Motor Co. to produce a production mold for a dunnage part for its assembly lines. The mold was patterned in wax using Stratasys' Fused Deposition Molding (FDM) technology, then cast in A2 production steel with chemically bonded ceramic as backfill for the mold. This approach to production tooling cuts cost by almost 50% and achieves more than a 50% time savings. XX
