LaserForm ST-100 is a 420 stainless steel alloy for use in the DTM Sinterstation. The new material allows companies to further speed the production of fully dense metal prototypes and end-use parts, and it can also be used to create complex tooling inserts for injection molding. SolidScape PatternMaster pattern-making system allows users to create patterns in real time, verify the design, and go to cast or tool processes the next day. The machine is capable of layer thickness as fine as 0.0005-in., and holding a tol erance of 0.001-in. in the X, Y, and Z axes. XX
