This stunning model of the City-Hall of Leuven, Belgium was built at the Université Catholique de Louvain, Belgium, using selective laser sintering (SLS). The scale is about 1/150. It was built in seven pieces from Duraform nylon using a DTM-2000 SinterStation. The CAD model was prepared by Department of Architecture, CAD-laboratory under Prof. H. Neukermans and the SLS was done by the Dept. of Mechanical Engineering under the direction of Prof. Jean-Pierre Kruth.
The model won top honors at the 2000 European Conference on Rapid Prototyping and manufacturing. More information is available from:
