Abstract Solid Freeform Fabrication (SFF) is a ceramic processing technique that can be classified into four categories. These categories are 3D printing, which was developed from stereolithography, layer manufacturing technique (LMT), which uses ceramic tapes to build components, shape deposition manufacturing (SDM), wherein prototypes are fabricated from a mixture of ceramic powders and organic polymers, and laser-assisted sintering (LAS).
