Abstract In today's competitive business environment, the ability of a manufacturing firm to prototype and qualify parts and tools quickly and economically is of paramount importance. Amongst a myriad of prototyping technologies, Laminated Object Manufacturing (LOM) has emerged as one of the leaders due to its ability to fabricate large, complex tools of high accuracy and adequate thermo-mechanical properties without the traditional programming and fixturing requirements in unprecedented time. Examples in sand casting, investment casting, blow molding, hydroforming, and injection molding are presented herein. (Auth abstract) [References: 12] XX
