Abstract This paper reports on experiments to fabricate ceramic components by means of rapid prototyping. So far, the route based on a build up of individual ceramic tapes has proven difficult, efficient stripping from the block causing particular problems. Despite these difficulties, the researchers persevered with the most inexpensive technique LOM (Laminated Object Manufacturing), and have successfully tested an indirect fabrication route. Examples of different ceramic articles (technical ceramics, tableware and art ceramics) produced by this indirect method are presented. (Auth abstract) [References: 6] XX
