Abstract Laser stereolithography (LS) is used in layer-by-layer synthesis of casting patterns. It is based on polymerization of liquid polymers, induced by laser radiation. Two methods of polymerization initiation are considered. The use of LS enables to reproduce the objects by the data of nondestructive and noncontact measurements (X-ray tomography, optical and acoustic methods). The manufacturing preciseness achieves plus or minus 0.05 mm. The LS method is compatible with casting, machining and galvanoplastic processes. XX
