Update 1999

Just some slight changes this year. The battery was relocated up front, a new ignition (MSD Digital 6), and some tidying up of the engine compartment. The engine block was sent to Bensons in CA for sleeving. The Paxton blowoff valve (crap) was replaced with a Blitz version. We went from a GReddy TVVC manual boost controller to a Profec, back to a manual controller, and the middle of the season with an A'pex AVC-D.

Badass 'aint it? Our own custom 3" mandrel-bent exhaust with an A'pex N1 muffler. Also notice the new suspension? Intrax coilover system from DRT (thanks Javier). And if you look closely, a shiny oil pan...

...and here it is. A Moroso aluminum oil pan. Inside are hinged baffles to prevent oil pump starvation @ WOT. It also came with mounting studs with allen heads for ease of installation. The lower threaded plug is for an oil temp sensor. The hose-clamped oil drain line is temporary, I was just mocking it up for length.

New turbo. Scroll up and see if you can tell the difference between this and last year's turbo.
Was it any better than last year's turbo? Keep scrolling down.

To the left is where the wastegate mounts. On the right is the shiny black bracket Chris (owner of a turbo 95 Civic EX) and I fabbed up to brace the turbo. Factory mounting holes on the lower engine mount and engine block itself were utilized.

Dashboard with 4-year old white face gauges and carbon fiber overlay. Sparco suede steering wheel. A'pex EL series memory boost gauge. VDO tachometer and Autometer Phantom water temp and oil pressure gauges. Lower console holds a Halmeter air/fuel ratio gauge. The tach/gauge mount is by Autometer. Their mounting system sucks...it was screwed down instead of their stupid clip system.
Yes, you do see an empty 2-gauge pillar pod. Anyone have spare white face EGT and electronic fuel pressure gauges to spare? ;-)

Another 4-year old accessory. A cool billet aluminum street rod window crank. Remember, this was way before STR and other companies had the idea of doing billet Honda accessories.
