Will of Jacob Boots
 
In the name of God Amen I Jacob Boots of Queen Anne's County in the State of Maryland be of a low Constitution but of sound and perfect memory thanks be to Almighty God for the same do make and ordain this my last will and Testament in the following manner and form  that is to say in the first I order and direct that all my lawful debts be first paid out of my estate -  Secondly - I do hereby give and bequeath unto my lawfull wife and to my son Bartus Boots all my land which is 86 acres that I now live on called Harrises Rambles and at her Decease the hole land of 86 acres to my son Bartus to him and the heirs of his body forever    Thirdly I give and bequeath unto my lawfull wife Rebecker all my personal estate duren her life and at her decease to be equally divided among my --- children Lombard an Nathaniel and Bartis and Ann and Elizabeth and to my granddaughter Rebecker Boots excepting my desk and sadle and geer  them to son Bartes at her decease
Also I do appoint my wife Rebecker and my son Bartus to be my holey and sole executors of this my Last Will and Testament ratifying and confirming all that executors shall hopefully do or cause to be done in the execution of  this my last will and Testament in witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and affixed my seal this 7 day of February Anno Dom. 1782

The came Bartes Boots the surviving executor in the within last will and Testament of Jacob Boots late of Queen Anne's County deceased and made Oath on the holy Evangels of Almighty God that the within is the true and whole Will and Testament of the said deceased , that came to his hands or possession and that he doth not know of any other

Then came Josias _ alloway and Elijah Newnam two of the subscribing witnesses to the within last Will and Testament of Jacob Boots late of Queen Anne's County deceased and severally made oath on the holy Evangels of Almighty God , that they did see the Testator within named sign and seal this Will and that they heard him publish , pronounce and declare the same to be his Last Will and Testament , that at the time of his so doing , he was to the best of their apprehensions of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding , and that they respectively subscribed their names or marks as witnesses to this will in the presence and at the presents of the Testator and in the Presence of each other , and in the presence of Samuel Jackson and Richard Nichoson   whom they saw subscribe their respective marks as witnesses to this Will in the Presence and at the request of the  Testator --------- The aforegoing depositions were taken in the presence of Lambert Boots the Heir at Law and Mary Boots the late wife and present widow of the deceased who consented to the same being taken.

Marion County  Indiana Will Book a Pages 106 & 107
 
In the name of God amen, I Bartis Boots of the County of Marion and State of Indiana being at this time weak in body but of sound mind and memory do make this to be my last will and testament  first ; It is my will and desire that after my death , my wife Rachel Boots shall have all my real and personal property during her natural life after my just debts are paid and after her death I will and bequeath what is left remaining of my said property to Bartis Boots, Sarah Balden, Catherine Pierce , & Nancy Dodd to be equally divided by them   2nd I do will unto the heirs of my son Jacob Boots deceased twenty five cents & to the heirs of my son Joseph Boots deceased twenty five cents to be paid to them when they shall call for it ; In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 26th day of September 1828
