Me and Tyler

I've been riding Tyler, a Thoroughbred Quarter horse cross, for two years. In a 2004 training accident he and I parted company resulting in a broken rib, mine. Getting back in the saddle after healing we made an agreement that I'll sit on top if he'll stay on the bottom. He's been a joy to ride and will turn left, a skill that my previous mount Special - K just couldn't master with any consistency. While often nervous around people Tyler and I have a comfortable relationship. I hope we'll be together for a long time. His reward after a session is having his noseband removed and his nose scratched. How could you leave the ring out of sorts after scratching a horses nose as he vigorously bobs his head up and down?

This year having participated in several schooling, practice, shows we're entering our riding clubs' sanctioned competition. I expect my scores to drop from those earned in the schooling shows but riding with and against my peers will be exciting.

This web site had its' genesis in a conversation with my brother Dale. He explained how I could package individual picture files in a way that would make them easier to browse and provided sample HTML to do so. My brother Tom critiqued my prototype pages providing suggestions pointing me to the format I've adopted for this site. Don B., a Lockheed Martin colleague, suggested HTML The Definitive Guide from O'Reilly press through which I learned HTML. Thanks guys
