Me and Tyler

I've been riding Tyler, a Thoroughbred Quarter horse cross, for three years. In a 2004 training accident he and I parted company resulting in a broken rib, mine. Getting back in the saddle after healing we made an agreement that I'll sit on top if he'll stay on the bottom. In June of 2008 we competed in our first sanctioned show. As expected our scores dropped from those earned previously in schooling shows. Riding with and against my peers was exciting. Our second sanctioned competition in June of 2009 was just as exciting but far better organized. Thinking ahead on how to execute the next movement rather than recovering from the last botched one was a great experience!

Tyler's reward after a session is having his nose band removed and his nose scratched. How could you leave the ring out of sorts after scratching a horses nose as he vigorously bobs his head up and down?

This web site had its' genesis in a conversation with my brother Dale. He explained how I could package individual picture files in a way that would make them easier to browse and provided sample HTML to do so. My brother Tom critiqued my prototype pages providing suggestions pointing me to the format I've adopted for this site. Don B., a Lockheed Martin colleague, suggested HTML The Definitive Guide from O'Reilly press through which I learned HTML. Thanks guys
