For a couple of years we had wanted a nice storage building/workshop.
The few pieces of lawn equipment and tools we had were constantly
being subjected to the outside elements or the dampness of our cellar.
When we decided it was time for us to do some major landscaping
during the spring and summer of 1999, our collection of lawn and
garden equipment grew rapidly. So we started shopping for a storage
building that could hold our lawn equipment and still have enough
space for a nice workshop. It had to be a well-constructed building
that was affordable.
We went from one lot to another. One manufacturer would have an
affordable price, but the quality wasn't there. Or, upon close inspection,
there were manufacturer defects, or obvious shortcuts in the construction.
Some required that we have a concrete slab poured first. Some doors
wouldn't even shut properly. And none of them were pretty buildings!
You ask, why was "pretty" an issue? Well, we have to look
out our window and see this building every day.
The day we went to Dutch Barns' site, we knew "our building"
was on their lot before we ever got out of our car; we just had
to pick it out. Their quality was obvious from the road! They offered
a wide variety of building styles, many sizes, and lots of optional
features. And, yes, they were all pretty buildings! The folks at
Dutch Barns cut no corners in their construction. All wood surfaces
are smooth - no splinters. The craftsmanship is meticulous.
It didn't take long to pick out the building that was right for
our needs. The sales person was ready to help when we needed him,
and answered all of our questions. The sales transaction was effortless,
and our building was delivered within a few days. The delivery went
flawlessly and was complete in less than thirty minutes.
We started getting nice compliments on our building almost immediately,
and it has been a source of pride ever since it was delivered. We
have plenty of storage space, and a very nice long-awaited workshop.
We've planted flowers around the building, and it looks as if that
space was meant for our building all along.
Now, if we can find the money for one of those Dutch Barns gazebos.
or a swing. or a trellis. Maybe someday!
