Laupp/Laub Family

John Laupp/Laub emigrated from Bavaria to Wisconsin in 1851. Wilhelmine emigrated from Germany to Wisconsin in 1853 with her parents and brothers. They were married in 1854.

John served as John W Laub in Company A of Wisconsin's 45th Infantry in the Civil War. He enlisted 26 Sept 1864. He was promoted from private to sergant 12 Nov 1864. The 45th was forwarded to Nashville, TN in the latter part of 1864 and the first part of 1865 and were stationed at Nashville until the 17th of July when they were mustered out of service and embarked for Wisconsin where they arrived on the 23rd July and were shortly after paid off and disbanded.

1. Much of the information from this family is from family records. I would like to find additional sources of the information to verify it.

2. Fill in the missing information for John's military service.

3. Find the town in Bavaria John came from.

4. Find the town in Germany Wilhelmie's family came from.
