George Washington Adair Jr.

George Washington Adair Jr. was born on January 26, 1861 in Santa Clara, Washington County, Utah Territory. He was the first born child of George Washington Adair and Ann Catherine Chestnut. He has a younger sister named Jamima. He also has eleven half brothers and sisters born to his father's second wife, Emily Perscinda Tyler: Olive Parintha, Emily Jane, Daniel Tyler, Samuel P., William Albert, John Washington, George Newton, Ruth Alice, Joseph Welton, Rufus Nathaniel, and Edna Irene.

On January 23, 1879 in St. George, Utah Territory he married Almira Hamblin, daughter of William Haynes Hamblin and Betsey Jane Leavitt. George and Almira were the parents of eleven children: George William, Leroy, Don Carlos, Bertha, Clarence Duane, Lenora Ann, Guy, Emily Printha, Betsy Oliver, Alford Chestnut, and Blanche Grace.

George passed away on January 10, 1934 in Bloomfield, San Juan County, New Mexico. He was laid to rest in Hammond, also in San Juan County.
