George Newton Adair

George Newton Adair was born on March 23, 1876 in Kanab, Kane County, Utah Territory. He was the seventh child born to George Washington Adair and Emily Perscinda Tyler: Olive Parintha, Emily Jane, Daniel Tyler, Samuel P., William Albert, John Washington, George Newton, Ruth Alice, Joseph Welton, Rufus Nathaniel, and Edna Irene. Geeorge also had a half brother and sister, George Washington Jr. and Jamima, through his father's previous marraige to Ann Catherine Chestnut.

On October 26, 1895 George was married to Adelia Francesca Sawyer, daughter of Joseph Winkle Sawyer and Eleanor Roberta Petty in Beaver, Beaver County, Utah. George and Adelia were the parents of George Corwyn, baby boy Adair, and James Daniel.

George Newton Adair passed away on November 28, 1899 in New Harmony, Washington County, Utah and is buried in New Harmony.
