Emily Jane Grant

Emily Jane Grant was born on December 28, 1865 in Washington, Washington County, Utah Territory. She was the second child born to George Washington Adair and Emily Prescinda Tyler: Olive Parintha, Emily Jane, Daniel Tyler, Samuel P., William Albert, John Washington, George Newton, Ruth Alice, Joseph Welton, Rufus Nathaniel, and Edna Irene. Emily also had a half brother and sister, George Washington Jr. and Jamima, through her father's previous marriage to Ann Catherine Chestnut.

Emily married Edmund Carbine Grant, son of George Roberts Grant and Mary Adelia Carbine in Nutrioso, Apache County, Arizona. They were the parents of eight children: Edmund Leroy, Eleanor, Emily Adelia, George Albert, Pansey Grant, Floyd Grant, Rosamond, and Gladys.

Emily passed away on October 3, 1949 in New Harmony, Washington County, Utah and is buried in New Harmony.
