Below is some of the Actuarial Data that Boeing refuses to give to me or any other participant.. It is part of a document called an Executive Summary put out by an actuary who is hired on behalf of Plan Participants in accordance with ERISA requirements. A) Summary participant Data as of Jan 1, 1997
U.S.C. TITLE 29 - LABOR o CHAPTER 18 - EMPLOYEE RETIREMENT INCOME SECURITY PROGRAM
§ 1023. Annual reports
3) (A) Except as provided in subparagraph (C), the administrator of an
employee benefit plan shall engage, on behalf of all plan participants,
an independent qualified public accountant
4) (A) The administrator of an employee pension benefit plan subject to the reporting requirement of subsection (d) of this section shall engage, on behalf of all plan participants,an enrolled actuary who shall be responsible for the preparation of the materials comprising the actuarial statement required under subsection (d) of this section.
(No, the actuary will NOT give you the data, I've
already been that route)
Without additional data to determine medians, numbers of hourly, exempt, managers, years of service, etc., it would be difficult for a person to determine where they really are relative to "peers".
Why does Boeing and others refuse to release this kind of data ??
