September 2002

Devotional - Wednesday, September 4, in the small cafeteria at 8:00 to 8:40 A.M.
We had a time of singing, Bible study and prayer to worship our Lord!

Leadership training - Sunday, September 8, from 2:00 to 5:00 P.M. at Immanuel Baptist Church 3901 Monument Avenue. Fun new resources were shown including interactive web resources that make huddle planning a breeze!

Devotional - Wednesday, September 11, in the small cafeteria at 8:00 to 8:40 A.M.
We had a special memorial for Patriot Day. Speaker was Zac Collins, Youth Pastor at Immanuel Baptist Church. We also sang patriotic songs and prayed.

See Ya at the Pole Rally - Sunday, September 15, from 4:30 - 8:00 P.M. at the Arthur Ashe Center. Speaker was Steve Fitzhugh and worship band was 'Offering'. Cost was $5 per person. Registration was at One For His Kingdom website Schedule: 4:30 registration, 5 pizza, 5:30 school groups, 6:30 - 8 worship.

See You At The Pole - Wednesday, September 18, at the flag pole at 8:00 to 8:40 A.M.
We celebrated See You At The Pole with about a hundred students, parents and teachers!

FCA Game Day at UVA - Saturday, September 21, from 12:00 P.M. This was an outstanding day of fellowship and outreach. Ticket, drink/hot dog and T-shirt for $20.

Fall Sports Festival - Tuesday, September 24, from 5:00 to 9:00 P.M. Road Trip! Colonial Heights Baptist Church has opened their gym for a night of "Persperation and Inspiration". Free pizza! Message at 7 by Rev. Rick Via. Ron Woody (marble man) helped organize.

Devotional - Wednesday, September 25, in the small cafeteria at 8:00 to 8:40 A.M.
We had about 40 students for a time of singing, Bible study and prayer to worship our Lord! Thanks Jesse and Melissa for leading the study!

Huddle - Sunday, September 29, at St. Matthews Episcopal Church from 3:00 to 4:30 P.M. A time of singing, games, prayer and a devotional by Coach Anthony.

October 2002

We met in the teacher's lounge because of the faculty meeting in the cafeteria. Speaker was Jeremy Welborne Minister to Youth at Grove Avenue Baptist Church.
