This is a brief summary of the work I can do with these viewers:
1. Standard service ($50 - plus return shipping, $6 in USA)

Disassemble viewer completely

Paint interior of lamp compartment

Install a frosted halogen bulb

Clean lenses
-
Clean electrical contacts (to eliminate flickering)
-
Do repairs as needed (including gluing any cracks)
-
Lubricate key parts while putting back together
-
Clean and polish case and logo
-
Repaint logo
-
Put 4 friction pads at the bottom of the viewer to minimize wear
-
Put everything back together
-
Check with a stereo slide for proper operation
2. "The WORKS" ($75 plus return shipping, $6 in USA ) - Everything above, plus:
Enlarge the apertures (there are two sets of apertures) for 8p (full frame viewing). This will allow you to view the widest RBT mount (33mm apertures) without any image cutoff. Very convenient and necessary if you work with modern SLR cameras, RBT cameras, FED, Belplasca, etc. No difference if you only view Realist format slides. In the pictures above, notice how the apertures are wider and brighter, compared to an unmodified viewer (upper left) and how the NEW reflector extends beyond the edge for shadow-free viewing of full-frame stereo slides.

IMO, this is the BEST 1950s stereo slide viewer!
My turn-around time varies from 2-4 weeks. Contact me via email if you have any questions or need the viewer sooner.
If you are mailing a Realist red button viewer to me, please REMOVE THE BATTERIES FROM THE VIEWER and pack well. Include a check for the payment and mail the viewer to:
