(www.rapidform.com), is pleased to announce a new agreement with Creaform, Inc. of Levis Quebec Canada, under which Creaform will offer Rapidform 3D scanning software with Creaform's Handyscan 3D laser scanning systems. Creaform is offering Rapidform XOR, XOS and XOV software tools for creating CAD models from 3D scan data and performing dimensional inspection using scan data. Additionally, Creaform will offer a special bundle based on a special version of XOS - Rapidform's Points to Polygons to Surface solution - created exclusively for Creaform.
Martin Chader, Rapidform's Vice President of Business Development commented, "We are very pleased to enhance our relationship with Creaform. Creaform has captured a very large market share with their innovative Handyscan, and are responding to their customer's demand for Rapidform's products. Chader continued: "Creaform's bundle offer is especially exciting. Rapidform's XOS product offers users a complete 2nd generation path from scan data to NURBS surfaces. XOS has always been a great value at a price well below its competitors, but Creaform will offer a bundle that takes value to a whole new level. Creaform's aggressive bundle pricing means that the customer wins by getting a world-class scanner, and a world class surfacing solution, at a very attractive price. We believe this new value point will bring many of the uninitiated into scanning. Oscar Meza, Vice President of Creaform concurred, stating: "The powerful bundle of Creaform's Handyscan and Rapidform's XOS is the reverse engineering package that will definitely give customers the best value for their money. Take the accuracy, resolution and portability of the Handyscan and combine it with XOS' automation and ease of use; that combination empowers customers to scan parts of any size to get a NURBS file. The Handyscan + XOS bundle will give customer the quickest tool to go from the physical part to a 3D surface model."
