3D Systems Bundles Alibre Design
with its V-Flash Desktop Modeler

news!

Rock Hill, SC - November 13, 2007 - 3D Systems Corporation (NASDAQ: TDSC), a leading provider of 3-D Modeling, Rapid Prototyping and Manufacturing solutions, and Alibre, Inc., a provider of 3-D CAD software for mechanical design and manufacturing, today announced that 3D Systems' new V-Flash(TM) Desktop Modeler will include Alibre Design(TM) Xpress 3D parametric computer-aided design (CAD) software.

"We are very pleased to partner with an experienced and innovative software company like Alibre to give users of the V-Flash(TM) Desktop Modeler the best tools for making their designs a reality," said Abe Reichental, 3D Systems' president and chief executive officer. "With the capability to create high-quality, ready-to-use, three-dimensional models in the office, home or school setting, and the affordability of this solution, we believe that this modeler and its accompanying technology will usher in a new expansion era of Rapid Prototyping to a broader range of market applications."

"Alibre and 3D Systems have a common vision of eliminating the barriers to 3-D design and manufacturing," said Greg Milliken, CEO of Alibre. "You no longer need tens of thousands of dollars or an expertise in 3-D CAD. True 'Art-to-Part' on your desktop is now accessible to anyone. For literally the cost of about one license of a traditional 3-D CAD system, you now can have a 3-D idea factory right on your desk at the office, home or school."

The V-Flash(TM) Desktop Modeler is the first product from 3D Systems based on its new Film Transfer Imaging (FTI) technology platform, and was launched in September with a base price of $9,900. Currently, 3D Systems is conducting a phased rollout of the V-Flash(TM) Modeler in the United States and plans to introduce it in Europe early in 2008.

Easy to use, Alibre Design(TM) Xpress software emphasizes the features that are most commonly used every day in 3-D CAD software and avoids the high-end bells and whistles that small groups of experts use. It provides parametric modeling of parts and assemblies, along with 2-D detailed drawings. In addition, this software has import and export capabilities via industry standard formats such as STEP, IGES, DXF and DWG as well as STL export capability that provides a direct interface to the V-Flash(TM) Desktop Modeler and other 3D Systems' Rapid Prototyping solutions.
