Hands-on training will enable users to learn to repair and maintain their own systems. Rock Hill, South Carolina, Sep. 26, 2007 - 3D Systems Corporation (NASDAQ: TDSC), a leading provider of 3-D Modeling, Rapid Prototyping and Manufacturing solutions, announced today that 3D Systems University, located adjacent to its facility in Rock Hill, will begin offering self-maintenance courses to train users to repair and maintain their own Stereolithography and Selective Laser Sintering systems during the first quarter of 2008. Self-maintenance courses will be taught by skilled, certified instructors on the company's Viper™ and Viper™ Pro SLA® Systems and its Sinterstation® HiQ™ and Sinterstation® Pro SLS® Systems. In a comfortable setting with small class sizes, these certification programs will use advanced training methods, including presentations in high-tech classrooms and hands-on, interactive laboratory sessions. The training programs for SLS® Systems will be up to three weeks long, and the courses for SLA® Systems are expected to last for two weeks. Both programs will provide annual renewal certification training, and advanced training courses will be available. Located next to the 3D Systems' new global headquarters in Rock Hill, S.C., 3D Systems University is the premier training facility for skill development in 3-D Modeling, Rapid Prototyping and Rapid Manufacturing. The 17,000-square-foot training center is operated by York Technical College, in partnership with 3D Systems. "We are very pleased to offer our advanced users in Rapid Prototyping and Rapid Manufacturing high-quality maintenance training from skilled and certified instructors on our Viper™ and Sinterstation® manufacturing systems," said Abe Reichental, 3D Systems' president and chief executive officer. "The goal of 3D Systems University is accelerated knowledge transfer and customer empowerment. Since we are not educators by training, it's a real privilege to collaborate with a top-notch educational institution like York Technical College to deliver outstanding training and learning opportunities to our customers." Today, 3D Systems' Kevin McAlea, VP, General Manager, Sintering Products, will talk about these self-maintenance classes in his keynote presentation titled, "Sintering Systems: Bigger, Tougher Parts," at the 3D Systems World Conference.
