Quickparts Material Advisor Adds New Dimension to Rapid Prototyping
The Material Advisor is a tool to help product designers decide which Rapid Prototyping/Manufacturing material best meets their needs. It provides the ability to search materials based on a wide range of options including: manufacturing process, appearance/color, application, special requirements, production material equivalent, and mechanical properties. At present, the Material Advisor contains approximately 30 available materials, with new materials frequently added.

"I want to stress how easy it is to use the Material Advisor," said Dr. Hollis. "It allows users to see up to 10 materials side by side in a single glance. This is a very useful tool when comparing processes in the design phase of a project."
