July 10, 2007 -- Windform™ FX is a new generation of polyamide-based material for selective laser sintering. Its repeatable mechanical characteristics make it particularly suited for Rapid Manufacturing applications. White-coloured, Windform™ FX is characterized by:

• Exceptional resistance and resilience to repeatedly applied bending and torsion stress;
• Excellent crash resistance;
• Consistency and behaviour similar to polypropylene and ABS molded parts.

Windform™ FX is perfect for making accurate, reliable and long-lasting parts. No additional secondary treatments are required and this material is particularly suited for functional applications.

Windform™ FX can be used for such applications as flexible components and functional parts with clicks or zips. In addition it can be used for air ducts with complex shapes and thin walls, and is especially suited for aerospace and motorsport applications such as: dashboards and grilles, fenders, fans and connectors. These are only a few examples of the infinite possibilities with this new material.
