ROCK HILL, SC— November 30, 2006 — 3D Systems Corporation (NASDAQ: TDSC), a leading provider of rapid 3-D Printing, Prototyping and Manufacturing solutions, has announced the introduction of black-colored DuraForm(R) EX Plastic.
Black-colored DuraForm(R) EX Plastic is an easy-to-process, durable material that offers the toughness of injection-molded polypropylene and ABS and is ideal for Rapid Manufacturing. This revolutionary laser sintering material was first introduced earlier this year in white. The addition of black-colored DuraForm(R) EX Plastic enables users greater design flexibility, while reducing secondary operations needed to dye or paint the part. Black-colored DuraForm(R) EX Plastic retains its toughness to temperatures as low as -65 degrees Fahrenheit, or -54 degrees Celsius, a critical functional requirement for many aerospace and automotive design engineers. "We are pleased to be able to expand the range of our revolutionary Rapid Manufacturing plastic materials," notes Abe Reichental, 3D Systems' president and chief executive officer. "Delivering black-colored DuraForm(R) EX Plastic is yet another example of how attentively we listen to the needs of our customers and how quickly we can respond with a manufacturing capable material that is tough and economical. We anticipate releasing additional Rapid Manufacturing materials based on DuraForm(R) EX Plastic in the near future." Black-colored DuraForm(R) EX Plastic, for use with all Sinterstation(R) Pro and Sinterstation(R) HiQ(TM) series SLS(R) systems, will be available in early 2007.
