Many of the entries found within are things that most of us have forgotten or have put aside for one reason or another and, in reading the book, are once again reminded. A dose of the 'Pirate' a day, keeps the 'Dread' away!

This second book in the Dread Pirate's Self Help Series is another set of stimulating essays written in his clever metaphorical nautical style. The gritty Pirate Sea Captain of the good ship Destiny's Quest, pilots us masterfully on the raging, roiling and sometimes only rippling rapids and swirling currents of personal life experience. Our meek hearts may be hammering, but the fearless Captain holds tight to the wheel in the thunder and lightning storms and shouts sternly to us in his booming voice, "Our World, Our Journey, is exactly what we make it. Nothing more, Nothing less." He's a kind man, but will never sugarcoat anything for anyone. His Sailor's Mantra, "Victory is the only option-Defeat is not acceptable." You can almost see his knitted brow and pursed lips. So steel yourself to take some journeys alone and some with the crew. He knowingly speaks to many topics, some are: relationships-choosing your crew, manners, arrogance, patience, understanding, change, belief, fear, instant gratification, silence and more. All with his unsinkable spirit, he's never ashamed to use personal experience as a teacher. This is a trait to be held in the highest regard. He never apologizes or brags, he merely relays his wit & wisdom and encourages the Corsairs (readers) to "Keep it Real, Keep it Motivated & Keep it Positive." Capt. Dread never slows for more than a breath. His personal philosophy matches that of some others in today's society; Life is exactly what we make it & We are responsible for our choices. Sail with the Captain. There may be times you disagree with him, though I dare say, I did not. But you'll always find him most interesting and entertaining. Savvy?
