| Honestly,
we laughed so hard we cried - you have no idea how FUNNY Judi is.
Since Peggy T couldn't be with us (she was busy with an earthquake -
what an excuse!) she instructed us to finish the get-together with
"gooey chocolate". What could we do? We had to
oblige her, of course. Honestly, we did it for Peggy - none of us
would have THOUGHT of ordering that Snicker's Cheesecake with Caramel
and Chocolate drizzles and nuts and whipped cream and stuff. It
was torture. Honestly. Cross my heart and hope to diet. |

| I
began the day by hitching a ride to Mercer Island with Lynne, who works
there. She dropped me at the Park & Ride, where I caught a bus
which took me to downtown Seattle. I arrived there around 8:30
with the intention of visiting the Seattle Art Museum, but since the
Museum didn't open until 10 AM, I thought I'd try to find a coffee shop
to while away the hour or so. Hmmm...
a coffee shop in Seattle? Would I be able to find one? It
seems there are "one or two" down there. After much
deliberation... ("Starbuck's? Starbuck's? Oh, there's a
Starbuck's!) I chose a "Seattle's Best" across from the main Market entrance. I sat at a table with my coffee and scone, watching the sights.. er.. people. There were three guys sitting not far from me comparing tattoos. One rolled up his
sleeve to display his arm-length dragon, the next pulled up his shirt to expose his
belly with its rampant tigers, and I swear I thought the third was going to drop his jeans, but apparently on second thought, he changed his mind. Thank God. That's a sight I wasn't ready for at 9AM.
Below are some of the images from this morning's ramble: |

Since
I planned on a more concentrated attack on the Pike Place Market and
Pioneer Square the next day, these images are just a brief preview of
further adventures. There were produce stalls, flower stalls,
and pigs everywhere.
Don't ask. I don't know why. |

I
can't let this page go without a special thanks to my dear friend and
wow sister, Lynne Jardine (and her dogs Buddy and Kona AND her
incredible husband John who does all the cooking and asked me what I wanted
for breakfast and SERVED it for me!) Lynne has been the most
incredible hostess!
Below are the further adventures of
Lynne and Ditty as they hang around at home, travel to Deception Pass
and Whidbey Island and ride the Ferry. Some of the pics are just
small things seen in passing. Everything was so very green and
lovely.
