I spent most of my time in Glasgow when I was in Scotland. This is the Glasgow Gallery of Modern Art. The building it is in used to be part of the Bank of Scotland.

This is the Necropolis, an amazing cemetary in the oldest part of Glasgow. It is my favorite place in the entire city. I'm not ususally morbid. Or a Goth.

This is a monument in the Necropolis. I liked this shot so much that I used it for my Christmas card a couple of years ago.

Also in the Necropolis. Glasgow is historically an industrial city and much of its amazing architecture has suffered the same fate as this unfortunate (but, cool looking) statue.

This is part of the ruins of Holyrood Abbey in Edinburgh. Attached to Holyrood Palace, it is located at one end of The Royal Mile, and Edinburgh Castle is at the other.

Another architectural detail of the ruins of Holyrood Abbey.

Urquhart Castle -- the ruins of a Medieval castle on the shores of Loch Ness.

This is Glasgow Cathedral. Sections of it date from Medieval times and the patron saint of Glasgow, St. Mungo, is entombed there.

I love gargoyles, and I found this guy to be particularly entrancing. He guards the main entrance to Glasgow Cathedral.

This shot is from inside Edinburg Castle. I just thought this was a nifty looking staircase.

Not that I'm fond weaponry, but these cannon are in Edinburgh Castle
