Don and Pepper Bauer - February 2001

... about us

Don is a 1975 graduate from Bradley University, Peoria Illinois in Computer Science. To pay the bills, he currently works at Caterpillar Inc. where he provides technical support and application development for a Lotus Notes community of 2000+ users, but his true love is MUSIC, and he works as Director of Choral and Contemporary Music at St. John Lutheran Church in Bartonville, Illinois. Pepper graduated from Illinois State University, majoring in Psychology. She currently runs the St. John Food Pantry, and is president of the Peoria Area Anti-Hunger Coalition, an organization of 40 churches and community service agencies. She writes a monthly fiction article in the Limestone Independent News in Bartonville. She also loves music, and sings in our choir. See the Gospel CHOIR page for more details.

The purpose of these Web pages is to publish some of my pictures for out of town friends and relatives, but anyone is welcome to see what's happening at church and in our lives.

If you have a sound card, you should be hearing MUSIC as you read this. The song, titled "I Will Sing of the Lord's Great Love", was written by Don in 1997 for a competition hosted by the Association of Lutheran church Musicians. .

Here's a sample of the beautiful sunsets we see from our front yard (unfortunately, soon to be lost as the pristine farmland is being swallowed up by yet another subdivision and (worse yet) a GOLF course!)
