Supervise children. They will probably not follow instructions if left alone.
Use fireworks in an open area--never indoors.
Always place fireworks on level ground. Keep head as far away as possible when lighting.
Follow instructions on package. Don't put fireworks in anything such as a bottle or can.
Never hold a lighted firework in your hand.
Don't try to make your own fireworks.
Keep a hose or fire extinguisher ready when shooting off fireworks.
If a firework fails to go off, leave it there for 5 minutes, then put it in a bucket of water.
Use eye protection.
Remember that bottle rockets cause the most injuries and fires.
Know what to do in case of a burn
Use only legal fireworks
If everyone followed these simple rules, there would be a lot less injuries and fires and fireworks possibly would not be banned.
