Anitra "Nikki" Blue

Blue, who currently plays at West Bakersfield High Shool, is rated as the No. 8 prospect in the country.  "Anitra is probably the best guard in California in her class," said Bret McCormick of ASGR. "She is very athletic, and she has great skills."  UConn now leads UCLA.

Awa is a freshman at Western Nebraska CC.  She is originally from Africa, but has also played in France.  She is being recruited by many D1 schools, including Rutgers.   Awa is expected to take an official visit to RU soon.

Marta Dydek is a freshman at Seward County CC in Kansas.  She is the younger sister of Margo Dydek, the 7-2 center for the Utah Starzz.  Marta missed time earlier this year due to a bout with chicken pox.

Gillian Goring

USA Today All-America HM, USA Today All-Sophomore Team, USAT Super 25, two-time Nike All-American.  Blue Star no. 1, FCP no. 3, ASGR no 2.  Connecticut leads Iowa State, Virginia, and Western Kentucky.

The No. 2 recruit in the Class of 2002, Goring is a 6-7 center from Drexel Hill, Pa., who is currently playing at Germantown Academy. "Gillian is the top center in the class. She used to be a tall center who could block shots and score around the basket, but she has really improved her skills in the past couple of years," noted ASGR's Bret McCormick.  (WBJ/AGSR)

Goring said that she is still wide open in terms of colleges she is considering.  She was in attendance for RU's upset of #1 Notre Dame on February 17.

USAT All-America HM, Student Sports Freshman All-American, Reebok/WBCA Underclass All-American, Boston Herald All-State Dream Team, City League MVP. FCP no. 19, ASGR no. 29. 20.5 ppg, 11.5 apg, 3 spg. 

McCants, who is rated as the nation's No. 29 prospect in the class, and she currently plays at JE Burke H.S.  "She is a flashy, flashy point guard," McCormick said. "She shoots deep threes and she's a great passer. If you're not looking for ball, she'll bloody your nose. She is a fun player to watch."  McCants' list includes Boston College, Rutgers, ODU, Temple, Syracuse and Providence. (WBJ/AGSR)

Student Sports Junior All-America, Metro and Area MVP, consensus First Team All-State, AP Div. I State Co-Player of the Year. ASGR no. 5. 23 ppg, 19 rpg, 6 apg, 4 spg. UConn, Rutgers, North Carolina, Southern Cal, and Georgia.

"It's going to come down to Rutgers and UConn," said Stovall (her coach)  of his 6-foot-2 guard/forward. "She called me (Saturday) and said she was really impressed by Rutgers."
