- Display rolled towels in an open pretty hatbox. For an
added treat tuck in some scented soaps.
- Rolled towels can also be stored in the cubbies of a wine rack.
- Under the bed can be a great place to store table leaves,
or off season clothes in plastic tubs - just be sure to measure
carefully.
Closets
- Closets can be organized to cut down on wrinkles and make finding things much easier. Start by
removing and storing unused hangers.
Then store out of season clothing in clear tubs or
guest closets. Remove all clothing from plastic bags -
they keep clothes from breathing and can
cause discoloration. I have my clothes organized first by length
(blouses, slacks, and then dresses) and then by color. The space below
the shorter clothes can be used for a chest of drawers,
Stackable Shoe Racks
, or even a second clothes rack.
- Linen Closets can also be organized. This step by step weekend project can be fun as well as creative.
1. Take everything out.
2. Paint or wallpaper the walls and shelves. Let dry overnight.
3. Trim the shelf edges with lace.
4. Sort through what will go back.
Holiday linens can be stored with Holiday decorations.
Stack towels with folded edges out, this will make it easier to remove the towels one
at a time and will make the shelves look neat.
Tuck in dryer sheets and soaps for a fresh scent.
Try hanging tablecloths on hangers to save space and minimize wrinkles.
Store bed linens in the bedroom where they are used. They can be stored on a
shelf or even tucked between the mattress and box spring.
Extra blankets can be stored between the matress and the box spring in the
summer.
A spare blanket can be folded and put in a pillow case and added to a guest
bed.

while drawers with dividers can keep
smaller items organized. A basket keeps
patterns easily accessible.

all your scrapbooking and craft supplies in one location.
- Binders or a file cabinet hold ideas cut from
magazines for the future.
A mason jar can hold colored pencils and paintbrushes, thread, pins,
beads, or buttons.
- A skirted table hides under-table storage.
- Fabrics on the open shelves can be
organized by color, making selection
easier.
- Add a sign to inspire you (or add a smile):
Organize!
I'm creative - You can't expect me to be organized, too
Creative minds are rarely organized
A creative mess is better than tidy idleness
People that are organized are just too lazy to get up and look for it!
I refuse to organize - it would interfere with the creative process.
- Use a
Rolling Organizer
for scrapbooking supplies to store easily when not in use.
