I got to go to San Diego for a business meeting the week of May 17-20, 2004. On the downtime I got to go try out my new Canon Digital Rebel camera. Here are some of the results.

The obligatory waves crashing on the rocks shot, taken at La Jolla. The Pacific Ocean was living up to its name, nice and calm, so no big waves. The surfers were disappointed

The first of many sunset shots taken at La Jolla, I filled up an entire memory card on sunsets

Jenny Lanning-Rush, a colleague from Houston, was also there. She graciously modeled for the new camera.

While walking along the shore, we came upon a herd of what I am told are Harbor Seals. The light was getting low, but they cooperated by posing for pictures. The new Canon EF 35-300mm F5.6 lens did a great job in the low light
