So, what do you do with a 31' Pearson after spending a hard month doing a bottom job? You take it to Turnback Canyon, an annual regatta hosted by the Austin Yacht Club! A 2 day race up to Lago Vista and back (about 19 miles each way) with a barbeque and band and party in between!
I was too busy driving to take pictures, but we had 2 low and slow flyovers of two F-18 Hornets from Dallas Naval Air Station during the race. Take my word for it, it was awesome.

After the first day of racing, at Lago Vista, all her flags flying!

Vic, his wife Pat, and future son-in-law having some quality time the morning after.

Our next door neighbors, a Baba 35 destined for the coast and world cruising in a couple of years.

Some other racers early in the morning, there were about 80 boats this year.

Looking the other direction at the survivors of the party.

We all wondered where Trinity was?
