General Info:
Happy to report that at least at Disney World, dinosaurs aren't extinct. Well, at least not too long ago, that is! This green dinosaur is named Roxie, and she used to make appearances in Dinoland at Animal Kingdom. She first debuted around
December 2006, and made many appearances throughout 2007. But rumor has it that she has stopped doing meets and greets in late 2007! We have no idea if this is temporary or permanent, but this is awful news! We like Roxie, and she wasn't out
very long! When she first did meets, some people thought her name was Hester, but alas, Disney finally named her Roxie. Her backstory is that she is the daughter of Hester and Chester (the humans who run Dinoland) and she dresses up
like a dinosaur mascot to liven up the park. But well, I guess none of this matters if Disney stopped using her for meets! Hope you all already met her, ads there is no way to know if she will ever join the ranks of meeting characters again!

Character Hunting Tips: -
Finding a beloved character can be a child (or adult's!) highlight of a trip to
Disney World! On this page, we listed a character we met, also
the places we seen this character on our
week-long trips (Jan 2003, May 2003, Oct 2003, Jan 2004, April 2004, Oct/Nov 2004, April 2005, Oct 2005, December 2005, January 2006, May 2006, November 2006, February 2007, September 2007, January 2008, October 2008).
Some characters were found by some fellow character hunters who were nice
enough to help us out!
Unfortunately, we aren't local to Florida (wish we were!!!), so we certainly don't know
everything about every character!
But we tried to list good places to look and
recent reliable sightings of that character!
Must say, sometimes finding a favorite character can be difficult!
One day you may see a bunch of characters in one spot, and the next day - not one!
Some characters may be everywhere on one trip, and nowhere the next! And some
characters come out only for 10 minute meets, then don't return for hours! Yikes!
Your best
bet to find your favorite character
is to read various character websites (check links here!),
or ask at Guest Relations at a Disney World park or resort (sometimes they
can tell you where a character is meeting people that day),
or check the Times Guide Map that you pick up when
you enter the Disney World parks. Or just wander around
and constantly look everywhere you go! Good luck character hunting!!
