Robin Hood

A Character From the Movie: Robin Hood

Common or Rare: Rare     (Click to see common/rare scale)

Note: Fully admit our family is taking a break from Disney and are no longer updating this site at this time (2009). Information is probably out-of-date.

Best Spot for meeting this character (if there is one!): No consistant location! Maybe ToonTown Train Station, maybe Disney-Hollywood (MGM) by the Big Hat; not sure!

Your Chances of Finding This Character: Sadly he has become rare, it seems

General Info: Robin Hood is the main character from the 1973 Disney movie called, obviously, Robin Hood. He is a fox, as some people aren't real sure when they see him - I heard him be called a chipmunk, bear, or squirrel, even! At Disney World, he was far more common a few years ago, but since then, poor Robin Hood has become rare. He does make appearances, but they seem to be sporatic and no particular location is a sure bet to find him. We found him a few times at at ToonTown Train Station area, but that location is seasonal, and is not used often. We also heard of him being seen in Town Square or Adventureland at Magic Kingdom, but it probably is a rare occurance. We heard of him at the Big Hat at Disney-Hollywood (MGM) Studios, but that is rare, too. Just takes some luck and timing to find him. I heard many people say when they see him, "Hey! There's the fox from Robin Hood!" - excuse me - that IS Robin Hood!

Character Hunting Tips: - Finding a beloved character can be a child (or adult's!) highlight of a trip to Disney World! On this page, we listed a character we met, also the places we seen this character on our week-long trips (Jan 2003, May 2003, Oct 2003, Jan 2004, April 2004, Oct/Nov 2004, April 2005, Oct 2005, December 2005, January 2006, May 2006, November 2006, February 2007, September 2007, January 2008, October 2008). Some characters were found by some fellow character hunters who were nice enough to help us out! Unfortunately, we aren't local to Florida (wish we were!!!), so we certainly don't know everything about every character! But we tried to list good places to look and recent reliable sightings of that character!

Must say, sometimes finding a favorite character can be difficult! One day you may see a bunch of characters in one spot, and the next day - not one! Some characters may be everywhere on one trip, and nowhere the next! And some characters come out only for 10 minute meets, then don't return for hours! Yikes! Your best bet to find your favorite character is to read various character websites (check links here!), or ask at Guest Relations at a Disney World park or resort (sometimes they can tell you where a character is meeting people that day), or check the Times Guide Map that you pick up when you enter the Disney World parks. Or just wander around and constantly look everywhere you go! Good luck character hunting!!
